The Grilled Fish Anti-Salad

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be painful! Try this colorful take on a salad and get closer to your fitness goals. It can be hard to find tasty, healthy recipes but this one is very filling and easy to replicate without sacrificing flavor. You can swap out ingredients for the ones you desire easily because this anti-salad is open to interpretation. Hop into the kitchen with BSD and let’s make something delicious!

-Prick your choice fish with a fork popular fish include:

  • Salmon
  • Cod
  • Halibut
  • Swordfish
  • Chilean Sea Bass
  • Yellowtail
  • Red Snapper
  • Yellowfin Tuna

-Season fish:

  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

-Put aside to marinate for 30 mins

-In a separate bowl add together your fixin’! This part is only limited by your imagination. Some popular add ins include:

  • ½ cup of cucumber
  • ½ cup Cherry tomatoes
  • Handful of Baby spinach (or your favorite greens)
  • ¼ cup Chickpeas
  • ¼ cup red, green, yellow, bell peppers
  • ¼ cup cabbage
  • 1 tbsp chopped mint
  • 2 tbsp of chopped almonds (optional for extra crunch)
  • Sliced avocado
  • Optional for sweetness:
    • 2 tbsp raisins
    • 2 tbsp dates
    • 2 tbsp diced strawberry
    • 2 tsp chopped apples
  • Sprinkle 1 tsp of black pepper and 1 tsp of lemon juice over ingredients
  • Mix or shake well

-Grease a hot pan (medium heat) with olive oil

-Place marinated fish onto it

-Cook on medium heat for 5 mins on each side

-Plate your ingredients and add your grilled fish on top and enjoy!
